About Me

Hello! I'm Ashlee, a pharmacist and Assistant Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. I have a passion for both pharmacy and education and have dedicated my career to advancing both fields.

This blog is a space where I reflect on various issues, approaches, and digital tools discussed throughout my course and share insights and experiences.

Professional Background

I am a licensed pharmacist who works in both community and hospital settings. Additionally, I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist specializing in mental health. My journey in pharmacy began at 15 when I started working at the local community pharmacy as a cashier. This path continued with my graduation from the University of Toronto in 2012, followed by earning my Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2016.

Current Pursuits

I am pursuing a Master's in Education at Ontario Tech University. My interests lie in mental health and digital technology in teaching, and I am excited to explore how I can incorporate innovative digital pedagogies and tools into my courses. I am deeply interested in how digital tools can enhance educational experiences.

Personal Interests

I am married and have a 9-year-old son.  Our home is filled with energy and pet hair, thanks to our two dogs (a Husky and German Shepherd), four cats, and two rats - I am definitely an animal lover! Beyond my professional life, I enjoy reading, spending time outdoors, and staying active by walking and running.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you find my reflections and insights valuable!
